Shimano Bantam Macbeth is a range of compact floating crankbait lures with a fast, aggressive action. The chunky body and distinctive square bill make the lure start working immediately as soon as the retrieve begins, creating a strong and clearly defined movement in the water.
The Macbeth was designed for fishing areas with submerged branches and other underwater obstacles. Its weight distribution and square bill keep the lure running head-down and help it deflect off cover with the bill first, reducing the risk of snagging.
The lure produces a tight yet pronounced action and performs well on both a steady retrieve and a start-stop presentation. Its ability to begin working instantly makes it particularly useful for accurately covering short sections around submerged branches and other structure.
The range includes different sizes. The smaller Bantam Macbeth 50 is particularly suited to perch, chub and trout, while the larger versions offer the same aggressive crankbait action for larger predators. The lures are floating and run down to approximately 1.5 m.
