From the very beginning—starting first with import, then moving on to production and distribution of equipment—we have played a key role in shaping the Polish fishing market. The foundation of Mikado’s continuous growth is a close relationship with our customers, which, combined with the experience of our employees, ensures that gear bearing the Mikado logo meets the expectations and demands of modern fishing enthusiasts.

Our offering is created by a strong team of Product Managers who, in collaboration with engineers from top component manufacturers like Fuji, Sea Guide, and Toray, design increasingly innovative fishing equipment using the latest technologies. Our office in China oversees the entire production and logistics process. We also rely heavily on our brand testers worldwide, who form the Mikado Fishing Team. It is the hundreds of hours spent on the water that provide us with a real understanding of which design improvements will guarantee users the comfort and confidence necessary when using our equipment.

Completing this process is a dedicated sales department made up of both mobile and office staff. All the people who contribute to the Mikado family share one crucial common denominator—a boundless passion for fishing. Thanks to this passion, our regular product range includes over 14,000 items covering most fishing methods, enabling millions of satisfied customers worldwide to enjoy their fishing experience.

Mikado is a strong, international brand with an established position. For years, we have been executing an expansion plan into new markets across Europe. Our first foreign breakthrough was entering Russia, where Mikado products quickly gained popularity and became a staple on fishing store shelves. The next step was a move westward in Europe, followed by expansion in all directions across the continent. Today, Mikado products can be found virtually from the Middle East to Scandinavia.

Since 2019, we have operated direct distribution in nine European countries, which together with Poland form our core domestic market. These countries are: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Finland, and Sweden. Sales are based on the company’s own structures and coordinated directly from headquarters in Poland. Our export strength is built on an excellent ratio of high product quality to price, well-organized and fast logistics, and product availability—something difficult to maintain for most manufacturers during the pandemic.

Mikado quickly became the most popular spinning brand in countries like Finland and Estonia. Fishing techniques and methods vary widely around the world, so based on the feedback from our testers, every season we create products dedicated to specific countries, perfectly tailored to anglers’ needs.
