SALMO Rattlin Hornet Shallow is the shallow running version of the iconic Hornet series, designed to target predators feeding in the upper water layers and over very shallow structures. The Shallow Runner construction allows precise presentation above rocks, riffles, weed beds and shoreline shelves without diving too deep.
The lure retains the tight, high-frequency Hornet action that is clearly transmitted through the rod tip. Despite its compact profile, it tracks extremely well in current and remains stable even when retrieved faster in flowing water.
An internal rattle increases acoustic attraction, making the lure effective in slightly stained water and during active feeding periods. Salmo’s long cast system improves flight stability and casting distance, helping anglers reach distant feeding zones with accuracy. A one-piece wire-through construction strengthens the body, the polycarbonate lip ensures consistent shallow running performance, and Black Nickel VMC hooks provide reliable hook penetration.

Rattlin Hornet Shallow can be retrieved steadily, with pauses or subtle rod twitches. Keeping the lure in the strike zone and maintaining constant line contact significantly increases hook-up ratios.
