Megabass Baby Pop-X is a series of small, floating topwater popper lures designed for spinning for predatory fish. The lures measure 5 cm in length and weigh 5.3 g, making them particularly effective when fish are feeding on small prey close to the water's surface. The distinctive shape of the front section of the body creates splashes and sounds during short twitches of the rod tip. Baby Pop-X combines the classic action of a popper with the ability to perform a walk the dog retrieve, producing alternating side to side movements. Its compact size allows anglers to present the lure delicately, which is especially important when targeting cautious fish in shallow, clear waters. This model is primarily suitable for topwater fishing for perch and bass, particularly in areas where predators are actively hunting small baitfish.

The Megabass Baby Pop-X features a specially shaped concave mouth at the front of the body, which pushes water forward and creates characteristic splashes when twitched. The centrally positioned line attachment eyelet makes it easier to produce short sideways movements, allowing smooth transitions between classic popping and walk the dog retrieves. The lure responds even to subtle movements of the rod tip, making it possible to animate it within a confined area without moving it quickly across the surface. An effective retrieve consists of short twitches combined with pauses, during which the lure remains in place and gives fish time to strike. More aggressive movements generate stronger splashes, while gentler twitches help minimise surface disturbance. Despite its compact body, the lure's construction allows relatively long casts. These characteristics make it suitable for fishing along the edges of aquatic vegetation, in shallow bays, around jetties and in other areas where predators hunt just below the surface.
The Megabass Baby Pop-X series includes lures of the same length of 5 cm and weight of 5.3 g, available in a variety of colour patterns. These include Aka Tora, Gin Tonic Tiger, Mat Tiger, OC Teaser, GG Bass, Modena Bone OB, Tonosama Frog and Wagin Wakasagi. The wide selection of colours allows anglers to match the lure's appearance to water clarity, lighting conditions and the feeding preferences of fish. The lure is equipped with two treble hooks: a front size #8 hook and a rear size #10 Teaser Hook. Its compact body and precise action make Baby Pop-X suitable both for actively searching for fish and for carefully working specific fishing spots. Anglers can vary the retrieve speed, pause duration and intensity of the splashes to adapt the lure's action to the behaviour of predators. Megabass Baby Pop-X is an excellent choice for anglers looking for a compact popper that offers versatile retrieves and precise lure presentation on the water's surface.
