Penn Mag4 Star Drag is a series of multiplier reels designed for long-range casting from beaches and rocky shores. The 515 model is well suited to general surfcasting, while the 525 offers greater line capacity for fishing at longer distances.
The externally adjustable magnetic brake allows quick control of spool speed and easy adaptation to different casting conditions. The Live Spindle system with a free-floating spool reduces resistance during the cast and helps achieve greater distances.
The lightweight graphite frame and sideplates are combined with a forged and machined aluminium spool. Stainless steel main and pinion gears provide durability and reliable operation during intensive use.
The Versa Drag system with HT-100 washers delivers smooth and consistent drag performance during the fight. A fast-access sideplate makes maintenance and servicing easier.
