Dorado Blagier are compact, deep-diving wobblers designed primarily for trout and barbel fishing in rivers. Their construction allows the lure to reach deeper water quickly, which is especially useful in short, deep pools, below fallen trees and around sharp river bends.
The long diving lip, positioned almost parallel to the lure body, helps the Blagier begin working immediately and gain depth after only a few turns of the reel handle. This makes it easier to present the lure effectively even when the productive section of water is only a few metres long.
A relatively wide and strongly flattened body gives the lure a pronounced flashing action. The movement of its sides increases visibility in the current and works particularly well when the lure is retrieved close to the bottom, rocks and other river obstacles.
The Blagier is suitable not only for trout. The design has also proved effective for barbel, while its compact size can help produce more confident takes. It may also appeal to perch and other predators feeding on small baitfish.
