Guideline Fario LW Dk. Grey Green Gold is a lightweight fly reel featuring Truss X construction adapted from the Vosso series. The recessed reel foot brings the reel closer to the rod grip, improving balance and reducing torque during casting. A built-in tippet holder keeps loose monofilament or fluorocarbon ends in place and helps reduce tangles.
The reel features a sealed drag system with a carbon and stainless-steel disc stack. According to the manufacturer, the #24 and #46 models provide 1.3 kg of drag power, while the #68 model provides 2 kg measured at the spool bottom. The drag adjustment range is 360°, from a very light setting close to free-spooling to firmer drag settings.
The slightly oversized spool diameter allows faster line retrieve and provides generous backing capacity. The current #24 version is rated AFTM 2/4, weighs 120 g, has a 90 mm spool diameter and holds 80 m of 20 lb Dacron backing with a WF4F line. A protective nylon reel pouch is included and can also be used while the reel is mounted on a fly rod.
