HMG Lures Jager is a series of floating minnow lures originally developed for trout fishing. Over time, their distinctive swimming action has also proved attractive to a wide variety of other fish species. Jager lures are suitable for targeting chub, ide and perch, as well as pike, zander, barbel and asp. Thanks to their versatility, they are a practical choice for anglers looking for a reliable all-round lure when exploring different fishing waters.
The most distinctive feature of Jager lures is their lively, pronounced tail action. During the retrieve, the lure moves its tail energetically in a characteristic V-shaped swimming pattern. This movement is accompanied by subtle flank flashes that imitate the natural reflections of a small baitfish. The combination of energetic swimming and gentle flashing creates an appealing presentation for various predatory fish species.
The versatility of HMG Lures Jager makes these lures suitable for a wide range of fishing environments. They can be used in small streams and creeks, medium-sized and large rivers, as well as lakes, ponds and backwaters. This makes Jager a particularly useful option when fishing unfamiliar waters, where it may be difficult to predict which species will be most active. Its characteristic swimming action and choice of sizes allow anglers to adapt their approach to different fishing conditions.
The HMG Lures Jager series includes two floating models: 37 F, measuring 3.7 cm (1.46 in) and weighing 2.1 g, and 48 F, measuring 4.8 cm (1.89 in) and weighing 4.1 g. The smaller model is suitable when a compact baitfish imitation is needed, while the larger version offers a more noticeable lure profile. Jager lures are handcrafted and hand-painted in Poland. Due to their artisanal production, individual lures may show slight variations in colour and finish.
