Savage Gear Salmonoid SG8 rods are two-piece spinning rods designed for sea trout and salmon fishing along the coast and in rivers. The series is intended for use with light to medium lures, with a design focused on long casting distances and control while playing fish.
The blanks are made from Japanese Torayca 46T carbon and reinforced with 4X Wrap V2 technology. Reset Accelerator technology supports fast blank recovery after bending and contributes to a dynamic, responsive rod action.
The rods are fitted with Fuji Titanium SiC guides, a Fuji reel seat and premium cork handles. A neoprene rod bag is included.
The series includes four models with lengths from 2.74 to 3.05 m and casting weights ranging from 5–18 to 12–35 g. All models have a two-piece construction, with transport lengths from 141 to 156 cm.
