Dorado Elusor is a sinking jerkbait designed primarily for slow, methodical pike fishing. It performs best with short, gentle pulls, making it a good choice when predators are less active and a more subtle presentation is required.
With each movement of the rod tip, the Elusor glides to the side while gradually rising towards the surface. This action can imitate a weakened baitfish coming up for air or small fish feeding close to the surface.
On the drop, the body produces a pronounced flashing action, keeping the lure attractive between pulls. The Elusor does not need aggressive jerks and responds better to smooth rod movements combined with short pauses.
It is particularly effective in shallow water up to around 2 m deep. The lure can be worked over submerged weed beds, along vegetation edges and through other areas where pike often wait for an easy target.
Its slow presentation can also be effective when predators are reluctant to feed, including during periods of low summer activity and in cold water late in the season.
