SALMO Jack is a large jerkbait designed for targeting the biggest freshwater predators. Its bulky body shape imitates a small pike – a natural prey for large specimens of this species. Thanks to this realistic profile, the lure effectively triggers aggressive attacks from territorial predators.
The Jack performs with a classic jerkbait action and responds instantly to rod twitches. During the retrieve it makes wide side-to-side glides and irregular directional changes that closely resemble the movement of a wounded or escaping fish. This erratic action often provokes violent strikes even when fish are cautious.
The heavy body allows for long and accurate casts, making the lure effective when covering large areas of water such as open lake flats, underwater structures or weed edges. The balanced construction keeps the lure stable both during classic jerkbait retrieves and slower presentations with pauses.
SALMO Jack is particularly effective when fishing for pike in large lakes, reservoirs and slow flowing rivers. Its large profile helps to select bigger fish and is often used by anglers targeting trophy predators.
In the limited edition version, the Jack 18 is available in selected special colour patterns that further enhance the lure's visibility and attraction for predatory fish.
