Microbait Beetle are handcrafted topwater wobblers designed for fishing in the surface zone. Their key advantage is a natural, subtle action combined with a compact size that perfectly imitates small insects falling onto the water.
These lures operate in the upper water layer, with the ability to dive up to approximately 40 cm, allowing both classic surface presentation and shallow subsurface retrieves. The slightly shimmering action effectively triggers fish feeding on insects, especially in calm river sections and along overgrown banks.
The Beetle series has been primarily developed for chub and ide, but it also performs very well when targeting other species reacting to insect-like lures. In practice, it is effective for trout, grayling, rudd and perch, and in still waters it can even attract pike.
Thanks to their lightweight construction and balanced design, these lures work best with light spinning setups. The manufacturer recommends using a thin monofilament line around 0.12 mm and attaching the lure with a single snap without a swivel to maintain its natural action.
