Microbait Hornet is a series of topwater wobblers designed for fishing situations where fish actively feed on insects from the surface. Their key advantage is a subtle shimmering action combined with the ability to work in the upper water layer, making them highly effective when natural presentation is essential.
These small insect imitation lures are particularly well-suited for targeting chub and ide, but they also perform very well when fishing for trout, grayling or perch. In suitable conditions, they can also attract other predatory fish that respond to surface movement.
The lures operate close to the surface, working down to approximately 40 cm, which allows precise fishing in shallow rivers, calm sections and areas where fish are focused on insects falling onto the water. This makes them a strong choice for light spinning and topwater fishing techniques.
According to the manufacturer’s recommendation, the lures perform best when used with a 0.12 mm line and attached using a single snap without a swivel (Mustad #77145), ensuring optimal and natural lure action.
