The Team Lew's HyperMag Speed Spool SLP is a high-performance baitcasting reel designed for anglers who demand exceptional lightness, precision and smooth operation. Its construction is built around a strong one-piece magnesium frame combined with lightweight C45 carbon side plates, providing excellent rigidity while keeping overall weight extremely low. This makes the reel ideal for long fishing sessions and techniques that require precise lure control.

At the core of the reel is a 32 mm U-shaped spool crafted from aircraft-grade double anodized duralumin. The compact diameter and lightweight design reduce spool start-up inertia, allowing anglers to cast lightweight lures with impressive accuracy and ease. The SpeedCast® centrifugal braking system with 4 pins and 27 adjustment positions enables precise tuning of spool performance to match lure weight and fishing conditions.

Exceptional smoothness and durability come from Lew’s hard-anodized aluminum Speed Gears®, precision cut on Hamai CNC machines. These gears work together with a premium bearing system and the Zero Reverse® one-way clutch bearing, eliminating back play and delivering instant hook-setting power.

A strong carbon fiber drag system provides reliable fish-fighting performance, while the titanium-coated zirconia line guide minimizes friction and ensures smooth line flow during long casts. This combination improves both casting distance and lure control.

The bowed 95 mm carbon fiber handle equipped with Winn® Dri-Tac knobs offers excellent grip and comfort throughout the day.
