The chenille is intended for making the bodies of nymphs - larvae of caddisflies and others, as well as dry caddisflies, cases, etc. For working with chenille, it is important to first seal or glue the ends to prevent it from unraveling. We don't wind the chenille onto the hook, although this is also possible, but we tie the body off the hook, as is done, for example, with large mayflies. If we want to make the body of a dry caddisfly, we heat the chenille with a lighter; it will shrink to a smaller diameter and strengthen its structure.
Hends specialise in a wide range of materials that are suitable for a vast range of patterns for both Trout, Salmon and Grayling alike.
In addition, they also manufacture a range of Czech nymph leaders, connectors, strike indicators and braided loops.
Superb quality throughout.
