Price from £ 4.40 View productsSinking Match Fishing Lines with High Strength and Abrasion Resistance
Mikado Dreamline Match Monofilament Lines are designed for anglers who prefer match fishing with waggler floats. One of their key features is their sinking ability, which makes it easier to submerge the line between the rod tip and the float. This helps reduce the influence of wind and surface waves on the fishing setup, allowing the bait to remain in the intended position. The black colour is a distinctive feature of this range. These monofilament lines combine high strength, abrasion resistance and low memory, offering properties particularly useful for accurate float fishing.
In match fishing, proper line control after casting and effectively sinking the line below the water surface are essential for maintaining a stable presentation. Dreamline Match monofilament lines are designed to meet these requirements thanks to their sinking properties. Low memory helps reduce the tendency of the line to retain coils from the reel spool, improving handling and overall fishing comfort. High breaking strength provides additional security when setting the hook and playing fish, while abrasion resistance is important when the line comes into contact with underwater obstacles. This range is primarily intended for waggler fishing setups where precise line control and consistent bait presentation are especially important.
The Dreamline Match range includes black monofilament lines in diameters from 0.16 to 0.24 mm, available on 150 metre spools. Different breaking strains allow anglers to select the appropriate line according to their match rod, float weight, casting distance and the size of the fish they expect to catch. Thinner diameters are suitable for more delicate match fishing setups, while thicker options provide additional strength when targeting larger and more powerful fish. Mikado Dreamline Match is a practical choice for anglers looking for a sinking monofilament line for waggler fishing that combines abrasion resistance, low memory and reliable performance across different fishing conditions.
Mikado
Mikado is a brand founded in 1989 out of a passion for fishing. From the very beginning—starting first with import, then moving on to production and distribution of equipment—we have played a key role in shaping the Polish fishing market. The foundation of Mikado’s continuous growth is a close relationship with our customers, which, combined with the experience of our employees, ensures that gear bearing the Mikado logo meets the expectations and demands of modern fishing enthusiasts.
Our offering is created by a strong team of Product Managers who, in collaboration with engineers from top component manufacturers like Fuji, Sea Guide, and Toray, design increasingly innovative fishing equipment using the latest technologies. Our office in China oversees the entire production and logistics process. We also rely heavily on our brand testers worldwide, who form the Mikado Fishing Team. It is the hundreds of hours spent on the water that provide us with a real understanding of which design improvements will guarantee users the comfort and confidence necessary when using our equipment.
Completing this process is a dedicated sales department made up of both mobile and office staff. All the people who contribute to the Mikado family share one crucial common denominator—a boundless passion for fishing. Thanks to this passion, our regular product range includes over 14,000 items covering most fishing methods, enabling millions of satisfied customers worldwide to enjoy their fishing experience.
Our modern B2B ordering system and professional warehouse organization allow us to ship orders within 24 hours. We send over 4,500,000 products annually to our partners.
Mikado is a strong, international brand with an established position. For years, we have been executing an expansion plan into new markets across Europe. Our first foreign breakthrough was entering Russia, where Mikado products quickly gained popularity and became a staple on fishing store shelves. The next step was a move westward in Europe, followed by expansion in all directions across the continent. Today, Mikado products can be found virtually from the Middle East to Scandinavia.
Since 2019, we have operated direct distribution in nine European countries, which together with Poland form our core domestic market. These countries are: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Finland, and Sweden. Sales are based on the company’s own structures and coordinated directly from headquarters in Poland. Our export strength is built on an excellent ratio of high product quality to price, well-organized and fast logistics, and product availability—something difficult to maintain for most manufacturers during the pandemic.
Mikado quickly became the most popular spinning brand in countries like Finland and Estonia. Fishing techniques and methods vary widely around the world, so based on the feedback from our testers, every season we create products dedicated to specific countries, perfectly tailored to anglers’ needs.
We can say with full confidence that in the coming years, our brand will not stand still—in fact, quite the opposite. We are ready to conquer the whole of Europe, delivering fishing gear made by anglers for anglers to an ever-growing number of customers. Our brand does not follow new trends—Mikado sets them!
