SALMO Executor is a classic floating crankbait introduced in 2004 and designed as a highly versatile lure for freshwater predators. It performs effectively in rivers, lakes and reservoirs, whether you are fishing from the bank or from a boat.
The traditional shad-shaped body with slightly flattened sides produces a wide, steady swimming action with a low-frequency wobble. Its subtle rolling and flashing sides imitate natural prey fish and trigger reaction strikes from pike, zander and perch. As a floating lure, the Executor rises quickly after a pause, allowing precise depth control and helping to avoid snags.
The lure is made from Salmo’s signature polyurethane foam and reinforced with a full through-wire frame formed from a single piece of wire for increased strength during hard fights. The shaped diving lip ensures stable performance in current and on a steady retrieve. Each lure is individually tank-tested and equipped with high-quality VMC Black Nickel treble hooks.

The traditional shad-shaped body with slightly flattened sides produces a wide, steady swimming action with a low-frequency wobble. The series includes four sizes: 5, 7, 9 and 12 cm. Depending on the version, the lure is available as a shallow running SR or deeper diving SDR model. In the SR version, the working depths are: 5 cm up to 0.6 m (casting) / 1.2 m (trolling), 7 cm up to 1.0 m / 2.0 m, 9 cm up to 1.5 m / 3.0 m, and 12 cm up to 2.5 m / 5.0 m.
In still waters, a steady retrieve with occasional speed changes is recommended, allowing the lure to rise slightly in the water column. In larger rivers, slow retrieves across or slightly against the current are effective. For trolling, the depth can be stabilised with additional weight placed in front of the lure. SALMO Executor is a proven choice for medium-depth fishing, especially productive during the autumn season.
