X Zone Lures Whiplash Shad 3.5 – Pintail Soft Plastic Lures

X Zone Lures Scented Whiplash Shad 3.5 is a pintail soft plastic lure measuring 3.5 inches (approximately 9 cm), designed for targeting predatory fish with a natural baitfish presentation. Its slender body and long, thin tail imitate a small baitfish, while the soft plastic material allows the lure to respond to even the slightest rod movements. Part of the Stealth Finesse range, this scented soft bait is particularly suited to subtle presentations.

The key feature of the Whiplash Shad is its long, flexible tail, which produces distinctive movement during steady retrieves and short rod twitches. The lure responds quickly to changes in retrieve speed, creating irregular movements that resemble a small baitfish. During a free fall, the thin tail produces a subtle shimmy even without additional rod action, making the lure particularly effective for slow presentations.

X Zone Lures Whiplash Shad 3.5 can be fished with a steady retrieve, worked with short twitches and pauses, or allowed to sink freely through the water column. It can be rigged on conventional jig heads, drop shot rigs and Texas rigs. This versatility allows anglers to target fish at different depths, whether working open water or carefully fishing around bottom features and submerged structures.

The slender profile and subtle tail action make the Whiplash Shad 3.5 a suitable choice for targeting perch and zander, particularly when predators are feeding on smaller baitfish. Its responsive design allows anglers to use slower retrieves and longer pauses, keeping the lure in the strike zone without excessive movement.
