Shimano Cardiff Flügel Flat is a floating minnow-style lure with a slim profile that imitates a small baitfish. It is designed for shallow presentations and can be worked effectively with both a steady retrieve and twitching.

On a steady retrieve, the Cardiff Flügel Flat produces a wide action with a characteristic X-shaped movement. When twitched, its flattened sides reflect light strongly, creating pronounced flashes that make the lure highly visible in the water.
A magnetic casting system improves stability in flight and helps achieve longer casting distances. This makes it easier to place the compact lure accurately even when extra range is required.
The Cardiff Flügel Flat 70F measures 7 cm and weighs 5 g. It is a floating lure with a running depth of up to approximately 0.5 m, making it well suited to fishing shallow areas.
