Float fishing is one of the most demanding types of fishing. An interesting variation of this method is the so-called a release, which - as the name suggests - consists in presenting the lure in a free drift, giving it downstream. Sounds easy, right? Nothing could be more wrong. Practice shows that this method requires true angling craftsmanship, specialist knowledge and skills. This is where centrepin reels are used - in other words - fishing reel with a moving spool. Inconspicuous-looking, gearless reels with a spool parallel to the rod. Thanks to the specific design, they allow free line retrieval, which is a key element if we want our rig to look natural and allow catching even cautious fish.
