Gripper Catfish Leads for Fishing in Strong Currents

Black Cat Cat Gripper Lead are catfish leads designed for targeting large catfish in demanding conditions, particularly on rivers with strong currents. Their distinctive Gripper shape with raised projections increases stability on the bottom and helps prevent the rig from moving under the force of the current. This allows the bait to remain in the chosen position, which is particularly important when fishing for catfish with heavy bottom rigs. The leads feature a matt camouflage finish that provides a discreet appearance on the bottom. The integrated swivel with a large 5 mm eye makes it easier to connect the lead to a suitable catfish rig. The Gripper design is particularly effective in flowing water, where conventional leads may be more easily displaced along the bottom. This makes them a practical choice for catfish fishing with natural baits and heavy bottom fishing rigs. Black Cat Cat Gripper Lead are available in three weights: 226 g, 283 g and 340 g. This allows anglers to select the appropriate weight according to the strength of the current, water depth and rig being used....

This allows anglers to select the appropriate weight according to the strength of the current, water depth and rig being used. The lighter version is suitable for conditions with less current pressure on the rig, while the heavier models are better suited to more demanding river conditions. Combining substantial weight, a stabilising shape and a robust swivel, these leads are a useful addition to any setup for targeting large catfish with bottom fishing techniques.
