When feeder fishing, selecting the appropriate mainline plays an important role in casting, controlling the fishing setup and successfully playing fish. Ultraviolet II Method & Feeder monofilament lines can be used with both Method Feeder and traditional feeder baskets. The Camo colour is particularly useful when anglers want to reduce the visibility of their fishing setup underwater. Thinner diameters allow for more delicate rigs when targeting smaller coarse fish, while thicker options provide additional breaking strength when fishing for carp and other powerful species. The choice of line should take into account the feeder weight, casting distance and conditions at the fishing venue. Selecting the right diameter helps maintain a balance between a discreet bait presentation and the strength required during the fight.
The Mikado Ultraviolet II Method & Feeder range includes Camo monofilament lines in diameters from 0.14 to 0.30 mm, available on 150 and 300 metre spools. The 150 metre versions cover diameters from 0.14 to 0.30 mm, while the 300 metre versions are available in diameters from 0.16 to 0.30 mm. Breaking strengths range from 4.95 kg for the 0.14 mm diameter to 14.25 kg for the 0.30 mm diameter. The availability of two spool lengths allows anglers to select the appropriate amount of line according to their reel spool capacity and planned fishing distance. Mikado Ultraviolet II Method & Feeder is a practical choice for anglers looking for a monofilament line suitable for Method Feeder and traditional feeder fishing, combining a discreet Camo colour with a wide range of diameters and high breaking strength.
Mikado
Mikado is a brand founded in 1989 out of a passion for fishing. From the very beginning—starting first with import, then moving on to production and distribution of equipment—we have played a key role in shaping the Polish fishing market. The foundation of Mikado’s continuous growth is a close relationship with our customers, which, combined with the experience of our employees, ensures that gear bearing the Mikado logo meets the expectations and demands of modern fishing enthusiasts.
Our offering is created by a strong team of Product Managers who, in collaboration with engineers from top component manufacturers like Fuji, Sea Guide, and Toray, design increasingly innovative fishing equipment using the latest technologies. Our office in China oversees the entire production and logistics process. We also rely heavily on our brand testers worldwide, who form the Mikado Fishing Team. It is the hundreds of hours spent on the water that provide us with a real understanding of which design improvements will guarantee users the comfort and confidence necessary when using our equipment.
Completing this process is a dedicated sales department made up of both mobile and office staff. All the people who contribute to the Mikado family share one crucial common denominator—a boundless passion for fishing. Thanks to this passion, our regular product range includes over 14,000 items covering most fishing methods, enabling millions of satisfied customers worldwide to enjoy their fishing experience.
Our modern B2B ordering system and professional warehouse organization allow us to ship orders within 24 hours. We send over 4,500,000 products annually to our partners.
Mikado is a strong, international brand with an established position. For years, we have been executing an expansion plan into new markets across Europe. Our first foreign breakthrough was entering Russia, where Mikado products quickly gained popularity and became a staple on fishing store shelves. The next step was a move westward in Europe, followed by expansion in all directions across the continent. Today, Mikado products can be found virtually from the Middle East to Scandinavia.
Since 2019, we have operated direct distribution in nine European countries, which together with Poland form our core domestic market. These countries are: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Finland, and Sweden. Sales are based on the company’s own structures and coordinated directly from headquarters in Poland. Our export strength is built on an excellent ratio of high product quality to price, well-organized and fast logistics, and product availability—something difficult to maintain for most manufacturers during the pandemic.
Mikado quickly became the most popular spinning brand in countries like Finland and Estonia. Fishing techniques and methods vary widely around the world, so based on the feedback from our testers, every season we create products dedicated to specific countries, perfectly tailored to anglers’ needs.
We can say with full confidence that in the coming years, our brand will not stand still—in fact, quite the opposite. We are ready to conquer the whole of Europe, delivering fishing gear made by anglers for anglers to an ever-growing number of customers. Our brand does not follow new trends—Mikado sets them!
