Shimano Tiger Baku Baku is a saltwater Kabura-style lure, also known as a Tai Rubber or sliding jig. Its sliding construction allows the head to move freely on the leader, independently from the hook rig and silicone skirt. This setup is particularly effective for vertical fishing and accurately working the area close to the bottom.
The shape of the head and its balanced weight distribution help maintain a stable fall through the water. Water flow around the head activates the silicone skirt, keeping the lure moving even during a slow and steady retrieve.
Tiger Baku Baku can be dropped vertically towards the bottom and then worked with a slow, steady lift. Its construction also allows it to be fished with a cast-and-retrieve approach or at a slow trolling pace when conditions and fish behaviour call for a different presentation.
The range includes heavier versions intended for deeper saltwater fishing. The sliding head, silicone components and twin assist hooks create a setup designed for targeting fish feeding close to the seabed and in the lower part of the water column.
