DAM Nova Bolo - Telescopic Bolognese Rods

DAM Nova Bolo is a series of telescopic Bolognese fishing rods designed for float fishing for coarse fish. The rods are available in lengths of 4.00 m, 5.00 m and 6.00 m, with all models featuring a casting weight of 4–25 g. Their typical Bolognese construction allows anglers to use a reel and control a float rig at greater distances. The long rod provides better control over the position of the fishing line and the movement of the float, which is particularly important when fishing in flowing waters. The series is especially suitable for rivers and canals, where proper presentation of the bait with the current is essential. These rods can also be used for fishing in still waters, particularly in locations where greater reach is required. The telescopic construction makes the rods easy to collapse and transport, ensuring that even the longest model does not take up excessive space when travelling to the fishing location.

DAM Nova Bolo rods are designed for Bolognese fishing, a technique in which the appropriate rod length helps maintain control over the float while trotting the rig downstream. Unlike a traditional fishing whip, a Bolognese rod is used with a reel, allowing anglers to adjust the amount of line released and fish beyond the immediate reach of the rod tip. When fishing in a river, this makes it possible to control the movement of the bait with the current, reduce unwanted dragging of the float and respond effectively to bites. The rod length also makes it easier to keep part of the fishing line above the water's surface, helping to control the rig and reduce the influence of surface currents. The casting weight range of 4–25 g allows anglers to select a suitable float rig according to the conditions at the fishing location, taking into account the weight of the float and additional loading. Rods of this type can be used for targeting roach, bream, ide and chub, depending on the characteristics of the fishing location and the rig being used. The shorter model offers more comfortable handling in areas with limited space, while the longer versions allow anglers to control the float farther from the bank. Choosing the appropriate rod length depends primarily on the width of the fishing area, the strength of the current and the preferred method of presenting the rig.

The DAM Nova Bolo series includes three models with lengths of 4.00 m, 5.00 m and 6.00 m. All versions have the same casting weight of 4–25 g and a transport length of 110 cm, while differing in weight and number of sections. The shortest 4.00 m rod weighs 268 g and consists of four telescopic sections. It is a practical choice for fishing in smaller rivers, canals and locations where a particularly long rod is not required. The 5.00 m model features a five-section construction and weighs 369 g. The additional metre of length can make it easier to control the rig farther from the bank while maintaining the versatile characteristics of a Bolognese rod. The longest 6.00 m version consists of six sections and weighs 515 g. Its length can be particularly useful when fishing in wider rivers, where maintaining proper control over the float and keeping the fishing line above the water are important. Despite the differences in their working lengths, all models measure 110 cm when collapsed, making them easier to store and transport. DAM Nova Bolo is a series for anglers looking for telescopic float fishing rods designed for Bolognese fishing, offering a choice of lengths suited to the size of the fishing location and the preferred method of controlling the rig.
