Dragon Pro Guide X rods are extralight and highly sensitive spinning rods designed mainly for perch and other predators. They are available in lengths from 198 to 275 cm, providing excellent versatility for a wide range of light lure techniques.
The series includes short two-piece rods (6–7 feet) perfect for light lures with maximum casting weights of 15–25 g, as well as longer spinning rods with low test weights and stronger models reaching up to 10 feet in length. This diversity allows every angler to find the perfect rod for their fishing style.
For years, the Guide Select series has earned a reputation for outstanding sensitivity, transmitting both lure action and fish bites with remarkable precision. Another signature feature of these rods is their distinctive design, especially the handle made entirely from graphite fibres.
In the blanks of the Dragon Pro Guide X rods, the following prepregs from Japanese Toray company were used:
Hi-modulus graphite 40 and 46 mln PSI as the base material of the blanks;

In the blanks of the Dragon Pro Guide X rods, the following prepregs from Japanese Toray company were used:
Hi-modulus graphite 40 and 46 mln PSI as the base material of the blanks;
62 mln PSI high-stiffness graphite applied in sections where weight reduction was essential;
30 mln PSI strength graphite in the core layer.
Components used in the Pro Guide X series include:
Fuji Alconite K-series guides selected according to the KR-CONCEPT system;
Fuji PTS reel seat for spinning rods and Fuji TVS for casting rods;
Handles made from second-generation woven carbon graphite;
Durable two-component epoxy varnish;
High-quality Gudebrod threads.
When designing this new generation – under the slightly changed name Pro Guide X – Dragon engineers focused on maintaining the same exceptional level of sensitivity while introducing a more modern and refined design. The Resonance System integrated with a stiff graphite handle perfectly transfers acoustic waves, offering anglers an incredible feeling of connection with the lure and every fish strike – almost as if fishing with one hand directly on the blank.
Two of the three handle components are thin-walled moulders made from light and extremely stiff graphite fibres in woven carbon 3K technology. The series’ unique look is highlighted by dark red decorative wraps and semi-translucent varnish in a matching tone. The handle is finished with a cork-and-rubber blend and a black grip.
Each Dragon Pro Guide X rod is equipped with a partially exposed Fuji handle and Alconite K-series guides following the KR-CONCEPT. Compared to the previous Guide Select series, the new Pro Guide X models are significantly lighter while maintaining the same impressive durability and performance.
Dragon
Dragon Fishing Equipment! A huge offer of rods, reels, lures and accessories. Team Dragon is a group of passionate fishermen who have been testing our equipment for many years in the most demanding fisheries in the world.
Anglers expect the quality of the offered equipment to keep pace with their growing skills and ambitions. To meet the expectations of our customers, we have implemented the so-called Quality Optimization System (QOS), consisting in creating a closed chain of technological connections, controlled at every stage of the production process - from the initial design to the final assembly.
An important element of the system is the use of an optimized design with the use of the highest quality components and materials. A perfect example is the bearing - one of the most important elements determining the durability of a reel. It is not the quantity, but most of all the quality of the bearings used that affects whether the reel will be used for many seasons, or whether it will end up in the garbage after being used several times. Taking into account the dimensions and the loads occurring during operation, the best reel bearings are currently manufactured in Japan, Taiwan and Germany. These are the bearings we use in Dragon reels! As a result, even the cheapest models meet high standards, work flawlessly and never disappoint their owners!
