HMG Lures Droop Killer Float is a compact floating crankbait designed primarily for chub, ide and trout fishing. Based on the proven DroopKILLER 25 body, this lure features a short, rounded profile that resembles a small, plump baitfish. Its compact size also makes it suitable for targeting perch, particularly when fish are feeding on small prey.
The Droop Killer Float features a strong, energetic swimming action with pronounced vibrations that can be clearly felt through the rod, even when the lure is working at a considerable distance. Its distinctive movement makes it an interesting choice for fishing in flowing water. Depending on the conditions and retrieve, the lure can reach a diving depth of approximately 1 m, allowing anglers to explore both shallow areas and slightly deeper sections of a river.
One of the most important advantages of this model is its ability to drift naturally downstream with the current. Thanks to its positive buoyancy, the lure can be released onto the water and allowed to float into areas that are difficult or impossible to reach with a conventional cast. This technique is particularly useful beneath overhanging branches, through narrow gaps in reeds, along overgrown riverbanks and beside flooded grass. Once the lure reaches the desired position, the angler can begin the retrieve and work through areas where cautious chub and ide often hold.
The HMG Lures Droop Killer Float 25 measures 2.5 cm (0.98 in) and weighs 1.5 g. Its lightweight, floating construction makes it particularly useful for fishing small and medium-sized rivers, as well as difficult-to-access locations on larger waterways. These Polish handmade lures are individually crafted and hand-painted. Due to their artisanal production, slight differences in colour and finish may occur between individual lures.
