Savage Gear Mutant Rat Soft Loose Body is a large soft lure designed primarily for targeting pike. Its distinctive profile combines the shape of a rat with highly active soft-body components. The lure is slow sinking and continues to produce movement even when retrieved at a very low speed.
The flexible ribbed body compresses easily during a strike, while the large curled legs and long straight rat-style tail start working with very little forward movement. Fine details on the limbs add subtle secondary movement, helping the Mutant Rat Soft Loose Body remain active during slow retrieves and short pauses.
The soft body can be rigged in several ways. It is compatible with the Savage Gear Mutant Rat Hard Head to create a complete hybrid lure, but it can also be rigged separately on a large EWG hook or with a Corkscrew Rig. This allows the rigging to be adapted to different fishing situations and types of cover.
