“Chibi’ means in Japanese very small or ‘cute’. The chibitoro is the smaller version of the jointed Fuwatoro series and is perfect for down-sizing when the trout are very picky. The Chibitoro has a very compact body which also is comparable to the trout pellets where farmed trout are usually fed with. The recommended action is ultra-slow retrieve or even just cast and wait until the fish take the bait from the surface (like ‘dry fly’ flyfishing). This lure can really make the difference on highly preasured fishing ponds.
