Daiwa Basia 45SLD QD is a Big Pit reel designed for long-distance carp fishing. The AIR METAL magnesium body and ZAION AIR ROTOR combine low weight with a construction developed for demanding use. The reel features CNC-machined DIGIGEAR II gearing, a stainless steel main shaft, Wormshaft oscillation and a 45 mm spool stroke. The aluminium longcast spool holds 300 m of 0.35 mm line, and an aluminium spare spool is included. The QD Quick Drag system allows a rapid change from a loose drag setting to the required braking force. Further features include AIR BAIL, a Twist Buster II line roller and a HIP line clip. The reel has 8 ball bearings, a 4.1:1 gear ratio, 87 cm retrieval per handle turn and a maximum drag of 10 kg. It weighs 485 g and is made in Japan.
