The Mikado Sensual Match 2 reels feature 6 bearings in a 5+1 configuration and a 6.2:1 gear ratio, providing a fast retrieve that is particularly useful when fishing at longer ranges. Quickly recovering a float rig allows anglers to spend less time winding in and more time fishing. The reinforced gearing and CNC-machined aluminium screw-in handle improve the stability of the mechanism and minimise play at the handle connection. A balanced rotor supports smooth, consistent operation, while the anti-reverse bearing prevents backward rotation of the handle. These features make the Sensual Match 2 well suited to the repeated casting and retrieving involved in match fishing.
Another important feature is the shallow aluminium spool, designed for the line diameters commonly used in match and float fishing. Its shallow profile allows anglers to load an appropriate amount of line without requiring excessive backing. Accurate line lay helps distribute the line evenly across the spool, promoting smooth line release during casting. The precisely adjustable front drag provides controlled resistance when playing fish, particularly when using finer monofilament lines and lighter float fishing rigs. The Mikado Sensual Match 2 series includes two models. The Sensual Match 2 3006 weighs 250 g, offers a maximum drag force of 8 kg and retrieves 92 cm of line per handle turn. Its spool holds 170 m of 0.20 mm line or 130 m of 0.23 mm line. The larger Sensual Match 2 4006 weighs 270 g, features a maximum drag force of 10 kg and retrieves 97 cm of line per handle turn. Its spool capacity is 220 m of 0.20 mm line or 165 m of 0.23 mm line. Both models share the same 6.2:1 gear ratio and 5+1 bearing configuration. The smaller 3006 is a practical choice for lighter match fishing setups, while the 4006 provides greater line capacity and a more powerful drag system.
