Shimano Cardiff Folletta is a compact slow-sinking minnow-style lure designed primarily for trout fishing. Its variable weight transfer system and distinctive action make it effective with both twitching and steady retrieves.
Aggressive twitching action and subtle steady retrieve
When twitched, the Cardiff Folletta responds with sharp, dynamic movements, with the action becoming especially pronounced at the end of each pull. This irregular movement makes it easy to trigger fish with short, decisive twitches.
On a steady retrieve, the lure works more subtly with gentle side-to-side movement. This makes it easy to adjust the presentation to the activity level of the fish, while the realistic colour patterns enhance its baitfish profile.
Cardiff Folletta 50SS measures 5 cm, weighs 3.3 g and is slow sinking. It runs to a depth of around 1 m. In addition to trout, it can also be used for perch, chub, ide and asp.
