Wob-Art Biedronka is a series of handcrafted surface fishing lures from the Polish brand Wob-Art, designed to imitate a ladybird. These small floating insect lures are intended for targeting fish that feed on insects at the water's surface. Their distinctive shape, realistic colour patterns and carefully finished details create a convincing imitation of an insect that has fallen into the water.
Biedronka lures are particularly suitable for chub and ide fishing. They are an interesting choice for small rivers, especially beneath overhanging branches, near bushes and along banks where fish regularly feed on insects. Their natural appearance makes them particularly useful for daytime surface fishing, when the silhouette and presentation of an insect can play an important role in attracting fish.
The series includes two models: MBFSR measuring 2.5 cm (1.0 in) and weighing 2.5 g, and DBFSR measuring 3 cm (1.2 in) and weighing 4 g. Both are floating surface lures designed to create a subtle disturbance on the water. The manufacturer recommends a slow, steady retrieve to achieve a natural insect presentation. In rivers, the lures can be worked both with and against the current, adjusting the retrieve speed to the conditions.
When fishing with Wob-Art Biedronka, a quiet approach and accurate casting are particularly important, especially when targeting wary fish close to the bank. A slow retrieve or controlled downstream drift allows the lure to imitate an insect floating naturally on the surface. Each lure is individually handcrafted and hand-painted with attention to detail. With two sizes available, anglers can choose the appropriate insect imitation to match the conditions and the feeding behaviour of chub and ide.
